In this video, you'll learn how to set up quantity-based price rules, which work best for incentivizing larger group bookings. As guests add more tickets to their session, the price per ticket automatically lowers.

It's an easy way to encourage guests to make larger bookings, helping you fill more seats and grow your revenue. Setting up price rules is a two step process. First, create the price rule in the price rules page, Then, attach it to your product variations in the product page. First, let's set up your price rules.

To get started, go to Venue Manager, Products, and Price Rules. Then select create price rule and choose quantity-based pricing. Give your rule a clear name that helps you identify its purpose. Then choose how tickets are counted to qualify for an automatic discount.

To count all variations together toward the discount threshold, select any product variation. For example, if there's a discount for purchasing three or more tickets, a guest can buy two adult tickets and one child ticket to qualify for the discount.

If you want each variation to be counted separately, select "a specific product variation." For example, if there's a discount for purchasing three or more tickets and a guest books two adult tickets and one child ticket, they'd need one more adult or two more child tickets to qualify for the discount.

Now set up your quantity tiers, which are the group sizes that trigger different pricing levels. In this example, we'll set the tiers as one to four guests, five to six guests, and seven or more guests so that we can define different pricing levels for groups of one to four, five to six guests, or more than six guests.

You won't see any amounts here because we'll set the pricing in the next step. Before we leave this page, don't forget to select save.

Now let's attach your quantity-based price rule to a product. Return to Venue Manager, products, then select the product you wanna update. To attach the rule, go to the price rule section of the product, open the drop down, and select your quantity-based price rule.

In this Escape Room example, we'll set a minimum booking requirement at checkout. We'll require at least two guests per booking to secure a session.

You can set up purchase limits down here in the additional options section.

Let's define the pricing for each adult ticket tier here. At two to four guests, the price is thirty dollars per person. At five and six guests, the price drops to twenty six dollars per person. And at seven or more, the price drops further to twenty three dollars per person. Then we'll adjust the child ticket variation.

Keep in mind, if your product variations are set up as group tickets, but you wanna use a quantity-based price rule, you'll need to adjust the variation settings so that each booking admits one guest. To learn more about group ticket settings, visit the ROLLER Help Center.

That's it. Don't forget to click save.

Here's how this looks to guests when they check out. You need to book at least two tickets to meet the minimum requirement. As more guests are added, the per person price updates based on your tier settings. In this example, the price drops instantly once we add a fifth ticket.

And that's how you set up a quantity-based price rule in Venue Manager. To learn more about managing price rules and how they can help you encourage more bookings and grow revenue, visit the Roller Help Center and search quantity-based price rule.
