Setting up your loyalty program in Roller is simple. Roller gives you two preset rules as starting templates, so you can customize them to fit your program rather than building from scratch.

Whether you're aiming for more repeat visits, higher spend per guest, or stronger long term guest relationships, Roller Loyalty gives you the tools to get there.

Before guests can start earning points and rewards, you need to set up the rules that define how your program works. In this video, you'll learn how to choose the right loyalty rule type for your business goals, set up and configure loyalty rules, and activate your program so guests can start earning straight away.

From Venue Manager, go to Loyalty and select settings.

Here you'll find preset rules that are inactive by default, ready for you to customize and activate when you're ready.

Roller loyalty supports a set of core rule types. Each one maps to a different goal, so you can choose the rules that match what you're trying to achieve.

If your goal is to reward overall spend and lift average transaction value, use the per dollar spent rule. This is an always on rule where guests earn points on every qualifying purchase. For example, awarding two points for every dollar spent.

Because guests see their points accumulating, they're more likely to add extras to their order.

If your goal is to encourage guests to spend more over time to hit a target, use the cumulative spend rule.

A guest unlocks a reward after spending a certain amount across multiple visits. For example, spend two hundred dollars and get ten dollars off the next visit. As guests get closer to the milestone, they're motivated to top up their purchase to reach it sooner, driving higher spend per visit.

If your goal is to drive repeat visits for a specific product, use the product purchase rule.

Guests unlock a reward after purchasing a specific product or products a set number of times.

Think of it as a digital punch card. Guests come back more often to reach the milestone, compressing the time between visits. For example, buy eight admissions and get one free.

You can run multiple rules simultaneously, so you can pursue more than one goal at the same time, and guests can earn from more than one rule at a time.

Next, we'll review how to set up and configure rules.

Let's start with the preset per dollar spent rule. Select the options menu, the three dots, and select edit reward rule.

The first step is to decide which products guests can earn points from.

Under applies to, leave the default set to all products to make every purchase eligible, excluding gift cards, or select selected products and choose which specific products are eligible to earn points.

Next, review the reward point controls. You can specify how many points a guest earns per dollar spent. Set this to the value that fits your program. You can also set a reward expiry specific to this rule in months or days.

This overrides any program level expiry that you can also set up. Select apply to update.

Next, let's look at the preset cumulative rule. Select the options menu, the three dots, next to the rule, and select edit reward rule.

This rule will unlock a reward after the guest spends a specified amount.

Set the dollar amount required to unlock the reward.

You can choose which products contribute towards the total spend and specify a reward, such as points, a free product, or a fixed amount discount. You can also set a reward expiry specific to this rule in months or days if needed.

Select apply to update.

Next, let's add a product purchase rule from scratch.

Select add reward rule, choose product purchase, then select next.

In this example, we're going to create a rule to reward a guest who has purchased eight jump passes with one free jump pass. Start by setting the quantity to eight, and then select the specific product the guest needs to purchase.

In this example, it will be a sixty minute jump pass.

Set the reward type to free product and select the same product from the list.

Optionally, set any expiry for this rule's rewards.

Then select apply to update the rule details.

You also have the option to reward guests for joining your loyalty program. To edit the sign up reward, select the options menu, the three dots, and select edit reward rule. You can choose to reward guests with points, a free product, or a fixed amount discount.

Having a shorter expiry for this reward can encourage guests to interact with your loyalty program immediately and see the value of the rewards in action.

Select apply to update. If you want to set a default reward expiry for all rules, enable set reward expiry for the program and set the number of months in the text field. This applies across all rules, unless you've already set an expiry on a specific rule.

Guests receive an email reminder two weeks prior to expiry, encouraging them to use their rewards.

The last step before going live is activating your rules and setting the points value to determine how much points are worth at checkout.

Select the checkbox next to each rule to activate them.

If any of your active rules use points as the reward, the point redemption section will appear.

The point value determines the discount guests receive when they choose to redeem points at checkout. A simple starting model is one point equals one cent. So one hundred points equals a one dollar discount.

Start with a balance that feels rewarding to guests while protecting your margins.

You can always adjust as your program grows.

When you're ready, select save.

Your rules are now live, and guests can start earning on qualifying purchases.

Once your program is active, Roller automatically handles guest communications.

Guests receive emails when they're invited to join, when they enroll, when they hit a milestone, and when rewards are about to expire, all without any manual effort from your team.

You've just learned how to set up loyalty rule types, configure your rewards, and activate your program.

Venues that run loyalty programs consistently see enrolled guests return more often and spend more over time.

Once your rules are live, every qualifying purchase starts building toward that long term guest value.
