Set up and share your homepage checkout

Build a branded checkout homepage with widgets and share it on social media and in campaigns.

Transcript

A full page checkout opens as a standalone, fully branded experience in a new tab. It's a great choice for social media or marketing campaigns when there's no website to embed into.

Around eighty percent of guests book on a mobile device, and the full page experience is fully optimized for mobile out of the box.

What sets it apart from the overlay is the homepage, a landing page you build yourself to showcase promotions, memberships, and seasonal events.

In this video, you'll learn how to enable your homepage, build it using the homepage widgets, and share the link with guests.

The homepage doesn't need to be a separate checkout. It's an option you turn on in your checkout settings. Until you turn it on, you won't be able to build or edit it, so that's your starting point. From Venue Manager, go to apps, progressive checkouts, all checkouts, then select your checkout.

It opens on the basics tab, but head to the options tab first and turn on enable homepage.

The homepage only appears when guests open the full page checkout link. If you embed this same checkout as an overlay on your website, the overlay always opens straight to the products page. The homepage won't show there.

One last thing before you build. Your homepage showcases your products, so they need to be set up first. If they're not ready yet, set them up in the products tab, then head back to the basics tab.

Under appearance, two new fields have appeared at the top. Enter a homepage title and description. Both are required. Your title is the first thing guests see, so keep it short and welcoming, like fun for all the family.

You can also override your logo and background image here and adjust the overlay color that sits between your background image and your text.

If your title is hard to read against a busy image, that overlay color is the fix.

Scroll to the bottom of the panel and select add widget.

Widgets are the building blocks of your homepage. You'll work with the product carousel, call to action, featured product carousel, and session times. Together, they let you push guests toward a specific product or promotion, show live session availability, and build a curated feed without needing a developer.

Before you start adding them, think about what you want guests to see first and which products belong together. That order is what shapes your homepage.

Let's start with the product carousel. The product carousel showcases a group of products in a compact row.

It shows up to eight and looks best with four or eight products.

Enter a carousel title, for example, most popular, then choose what to show.

You can select products individually or use tags to pull them in automatically.

Tags also let new products flow into the carousel as you add them.

Select apply.

Next, the call to action widget.

It's best for driving guests to a single product or offer, like a school holiday deal or a limited time promotion.

Enter your headline and description, add your button text, then choose where the button links to.

You can paste an external URL, like a promotion page on your main website, or select a product you're selling, such as a membership or a gift card.

Upload an image, then adjust the background, button, and text colors so the widget stands out.

Select apply.

Next is the featured product carousel. The featured product carousel makes up to three handpicked products stand out.

Add a description under the heading and set the background and text colors, and it becomes its own block on the page.

Use it for your highest value offerings, memberships, special events, or party packages, where a line of copy helps guests understand the value.

The last widget is session times. The session times widget is ideal when you run several session based products on the same day, like escape rooms or VR.

It shows each product's available times in a single view so guests can find an open slot for their preferred experience without clicking into every product one by one. That means fewer clicks and stronger conversion.

Enter a title, then select Select products to choose which sessions to show.

Select Apply.

You can drag and drop each widget to rearrange them.

Add as many as you need, then select save.

Before you share anything, select view checkout in the top right corner to see a preview of your homepage exactly as a guest will.

Check it on mobile too. That's how most of your guests will book.

When you're ready, select share in the top right corner, Then copy the direct link. That's the link you add to your social bios, ad campaigns, and email comms.

There's no single right way to build a homepage. The widgets are designed to mix and match. So whether you run a museum, an escape room, or a family entertainment center, you can create something that feels entirely your own.

The best way to find what works is to experiment. Try different combinations. See what guides guests toward the products that matter most, and build your homepage around your goals.

You now know how to enable your homepage, build it using the product carousel, call to action, featured product carousel, and session time widgets, and how to share the direct homepage link.

You're ready to put your full page checkout in front of guests.
