Your online checkout is your digital storefront. It's where guests browse, choose, and buy anytime, anywhere.

A well planned checkout does more than take bookings. It drives more revenue per guest and gives them a smoother experience. In this video, you'll get a high level overview of what a progressive checkout is, the difference between an overlay and a full page experience, and the three tabs you use to configure it. You'll also learn where add ons fit in, and lastly, how to share your checkout with guests.

A progressive checkout is ROLLER's modern, mobile optimized storefront for selling your products online.

Guests can browse and buy passes, memberships, party packages, gift cards, and more in just a few clicks from any device. We recommend creating one primary checkout that brings together everything you sell online, such as your jump sessions, parties, memberships, and gift cards all in the same place.

That way, guests have one place to browse your full range and make a booking.

ROLLER's Progressive Checkout comes in two experiences, overlay and full page. The overlay checkout opens as a side panel over your existing website. Guests can keep browsing your site while they add products to their cart, which reduces friction and helps lower cart abandonment. It's the recommended option when you have a website to embed it into.

The full page checkout opens as a standalone page in a new tab. It's more commonly used for social media or marketing campaigns when there's no website to embed into.

ROLLER recommends using the overlay checkout, providing guests the smoothest experience and giving you maximum reach.

Every online checkout in ROLLER is configured across three tabs. The basics tab is where you style your checkout, set your logo, background image, brand colors, and, for a full page checkout with a homepage, your homepage widgets.

The products tab is where you add all the products you sell. Group similar products into sections like jump sessions, parties, or memberships so guests can find what they want quickly. You'll also configure your add ons here.

The options tab is where you fine tune the experience. Choose between a date led or product led flow, set messages, control availability display, set minimum ticket values, enable a booking timer, and customize the confirmation message.

Add ons are one of the easiest ways to lift average order value.

Venues with add ons see an average checkout revenue increase of around three percent, with some venues seeing up to a ten percent increase.

You can use any product as an add on except for party packages.

Add ons can appear on a product's details page, on a dedicated add ons page, or both.

To get the most from add ons, place higher value items at the top, keep descriptions short and benefit led, and only show add ons that are genuinely relevant to what the guest is buying.

Once your checkout is built, it's time to share it. The goal is simple. Get guests to the product they want in two clicks or less.

On your website, overlay buttons can open at different points in the checkout. A book a party button opens straight to the party section. A buy tickets button opens the full product list.

A purchase a gift card button opens that exact product.

If you're opting for a full page checkout for your social media and marketing campaigns, use the direct full page link.

From your checkout setup page, select share in the top right and copy the link to add to your social bios, ad campaigns, and email comms.

You now have a high level view of how online checkouts work in ROLLER.

You know the difference between overlay and full page, the three tabs you'll use to configure your checkout, where add ons sit, and how to share your checkout with the right link.
