Reward guests who book in advance with better prices, helping you secure sales earlier and plan ahead.
In this video, you'll learn how to set up Early bird price rules to encourage guests to book sooner, secure revenue earlier, and build excitement for upcoming events or high demand days.
Setting up price rules is a two step process. First, create the price rule in the price rules page, then attach it to your product variations in the product page.
First, let's set up your price rules.
To get started, go to Venue Manager, Products, Price Rules, then select Create Price Rule. Choose Early bird pricing and give your rule a name. For example, Festival Early Bird, or in this example, Seven Day Advance Pricing.
Now define your lead time tiers. These determine what price applies based on how far in advance guests book. In this example, we'll use two booking windows.
Bookings made zero to six days before the session will use the standard price, and bookings made seven days or more in advance will use the discounted early bird price. When you're done, select save.
Now let's apply the rule to a product. Go to Venue Manager, Products, and select the session or standard pass you wanna update. In the price rule drop down, choose the Early bird rule you just created.
You'll now see new columns in the pricing table, one for each lead time tier.
Enter prices for each ticket variation across your tiers.
In this example, we've applied the rule to the two hour open jump pass for both adult and child tickets. The standard adult ticket price is thirty five dollars, and the child ticket price is slightly cheaper. If a guest books within six days of the session, they'll pay the full amount. If they book seven days or more in advance, they'll receive the discounted rate. Early bird price rules also support products with group ticket variations. For example, guests can save ten percent when a group of four is booked at least seven days in advance.
You can tick this box to display early bird discounts on checkout and encourage guests to book early.
Don't forget to select save.
Here's how it looks in the checkout. Sessions happening within the next six days show the standard thirty five dollar price. Sessions seven days or more in advance show the discounted Early bird price. It's an easy way to motivate guests to book early and boost your advanced sales.
