Create and manage gift cards in Venue Manager

Create, issue and manage gift cards in Venue Manager to support sales and guest follow-up.

In this video, you'll learn how to create and manage gift cards in ROLLER.

To create a gift card in ROLLER, navigate to products, all products.

Filter product type by gift card, and then select the three dot icon to issue a new gift card.

The gift card value denominations will appear based on what has been configured within the product.

In this example, we'll select a fifty dollar gift card.

If you want to bulk issue gift cards, you can increase the quantity.

However, in this example, we'll issue a single gift card.

From here, you can then select the delivery method. Delivery methods will appear based on what has been configured within the gift card product.

In this example, we'll send an e-gift card to the purchaser.

You'll then need to enter the recipient's name.

You can override the gift card ID. However, ROLLER will automatically generate a unique gift card ID.

The next step is the next step. This is a method request. Payment method request. To pay the gift card. You can send this via email or message.

Select send request.

If the guest is making the purchase over the phone, we recommend staying on the phone call until payment has been completed and this widget turns green.

The gift card will activate once payment has been received.

When searching for gift cards, if you want an extensive list of all gift cards sold, you can navigate to products, all products, Filter by product type, gift card, select the three dot icon, and select view gift cards.

This will give you a list of every gift card that has been purchased using that gift card product.

You'll also see a total value of gift cards purchased and a remaining balance of unused gift cards.

You can also export this list to CSV.

If you're looking for an individual gift card, for example, if you need to update gift card details before resending the gift card to a customer, you can easily do that by using the search icon at the top left of the page.

You can search by name or, even better, the gift card ID to find that specific booking which contains that gift card.

You can then open that booking, navigate to items, select the gift card item, then you can select the pencil icon to update the gift card ID if needed, extend the expiry date, or update the gift card recipient email details before you need to potentially resend the gift card.

Now you've updated all those details, you can resend that gift card using the correct details to the guest.
